Celebrate National Forest Week with Nu Image

Numerous tree-planting events and reforestation projects have been organized across the country to mark National Forest Week and National Forest Day (Sept. 25). The team at Nu Image is pleased to take part in one such event in the local Guelph community and we’d love for you to come join us!

On Sept. 21, Nu Image will join with representatives from SmartCentres and Calloway REIT (SW Ontario) Inc. for a ceremonial tree planting. The companies own and manage (respectively) the big box centre at Woodlawn Road and Woolwich Street, where Wal-Mart and several other retail outlets are located and are sponsoring the event.

The ceremonial planting begins at 10 a.m. in the grass area opposite the CIBC. In total, eleven trees will be planted on the property.

Nu Image is pleased to be providing labour for the planting and snacks from the Pita Pit for those who attend.

Why Planting Trees Is Important

While we are mostly focused on the grounds of a property, the team at Nu Image also feels strongly about the importance of a healthy tree canopy to life on the planet.

We believe it is important to look up and pay attention to the trees on our properties. It breaks our heart to see beautiful trees die because the hole was not deep enough or the wrapping around the root ball was not removed.

Nu Image is a property maintenance company that provides a range of services, including lawn care, garden maintenance, landscaping and garden design. As a result, our team can also provide some advice on insect infestations, pruning, and especially on how to plant a tree properly.

If you are interested in celebrating National Forest Week and learning more about tree care, please feel free to come join the event. Richard, Janet, and other Nu Image staff will be onsite to say hello and answer your questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
